my heart is on fire 'cause i fire it up

this morning, my friends judd figuerres, samantha lee and i decided to hold the first of what i'm hoping to be an annual chirstmas brunch. we originally wanted to have dinner but since we have lives outside of our friendship, we decided to do brunch instead. it's kind of a continuation of our almost weekly brunches before at technohub.



i did a hipster theme for my christmas gifts this year. good thing i was able to find plaid gift wrapping paper at national book store.

judd invited his friend libby. she wants us to believe that this is a stolen shot.



the food was good but the service was bad.



judd didn't want to wait for christmas so he opened his gifts right then and there. sam gave him a brand spankin' new pair of kanye west-ish eyeglasses.



i got him a fur trapper hat even though it's super hot in manila.



the weather is not a factor when we plan out our outfits.

as a semi-gift to myself, i had my hair semi-permed and dyed two days ago at tony and jackey salon. they always know the right level of waviness i want for my hair. i'm planning to have my hair permed there every 4 months or so.



it was a pretty quick brunch since i had to shoot a family friend's 50th wedding anniversary celebration that afternoon (outfit shot in the next post). this time next year, both judd and sam would have already graduated from college. hopefully we'd still get to do more christmas brunches together.
